I'm Chad Schmidt, a mechanical engineer, manufacturing specialist, and founder of Creator-Fab.
Throughout my career, I've worked closely with manufacturers to develop reliable, productive machining processes and solve real-world production challenges. My experience spans CNC machine tools, cutting tools, workholding, process development, and the technical decisions required to manufacture a quality product efficiently.
I've worked with companies ranging from small, owner-operated machine shops to high-production automotive manufacturers and major defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics.
Over the years, I've visited hundreds of machine shops and manufacturing facilities. That exposure gives Creator-Fab a broad view of how products are made—and of the decisions that determine whether a project succeeds or struggles.
Manufacturing is more than making a part.
A product can look great on a computer screen and still be unnecessarily difficult, expensive, or unreliable to manufacture. Doing it right means considering the entire process from the beginning.

Through my engineering background, manufacturing experience, and industry network, I saw an opportunity to connect two groups that rarely cross paths: creators who possess exceptional knowledge of a niche, and manufacturers who know how to build exceptional products.
You don't need a completed design or a set of engineering drawings. We can begin with a problem, a rough sketch, or an idea you've been thinking about for years. Creator-Fab helps refine the idea, develop a manufacturable design, build and evaluate prototypes, and coordinate production.
Our specialty is premium physical products—particularly CNC-machined metal products that provide real function, quality, and lasting value. We remain open to other materials and processes when they are the right fit.
